Respect Local Customs

Dress modestly when visiting temples (cover shoulders and knees). Remove shoes before entering religious sites and show respect to elders. Public affection is discouraged.

Traffic & Transportation

Traffic can be chaotic, especially in cities. Use rideshare apps like Grab or hire private drivers for long trips. Be cautious when crossing streets, as motorbikes dominate the roads.

Currency & Payments

The Vietnamese dong (VND) is the local currency. While credit cards are accepted in major cities, carry cash for rural areas. Mobile payment apps like MoMo are widely used.
